Jordan began working in summer time, starting from midnight, amid widespread controversy and resentment, and calls for a reconsideration of the decision.

Last September, the Council of Ministers decided to amend its previous decision regarding the start of daylight saving time in the Kingdom to become from midnight on the last Thursday of February of each year, instead of the night of the last Thursday of March, while the Council kept the start of work. In winter time, starting from the last Friday of October every year.
