“Crisis” calls on Jordanians in Ukraine to stay away from hot spots

The Director of the Media Response Unit and the official spokesperson for the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, Dr. Ahmed Al-Nuaimat, confirmed that the center, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs and the relevant authorities, decided to develop proactive plans to facilitate the voluntary return of Jordanians from Ukraine in light of the events it is witnessing through a series of measures .
In his interview with Jordan TV, he revealed that the center and since the end of last January has been following the tension in Ukraine, pointing to the issuance of a circular exempting all Jordanians residing in Ukraine and wishing to return to the Kingdom from registering on the electronic platform designated for return and canceling the requirement of medical examination before departure and upon arrival. .
He pointed out that this new measure taken comes in implementation of the proactive plan coordinated by the Center with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through which several points of risks related to the tension between Ukraine and Russia were discussed.
Al-Naimat called on citizens in Ukraine to stay away from the hot eastern regions, go more to the western, and take the instructions issued by the Ukrainian official authorities and the necessary precautions for personal safety, and contact the numbers announced by the Foreign Ministry.
He indicated the return of a small number of residents in Ukraine to Jordan, pointing to a small number of people who wish to return despite the provision of additional airlines to facilitate the return and diplomatic coordination with Ukraine’s neighboring countries to travel by land.
