Foreign Ministry: Crisis Cell continues to convene regarding Jordanians in Ukraine

Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement confirming that the Crisis Cell continues to meet around the clock, as preparations are now being made for an expanded and comprehensive meeting with all the relevant Jordanian authorities and institutions concerned with following up the situation of Jordanians in Ukraine to assess developments.

The statement stated, “In light of the heightened tension and news of the implementation of military actions in Ukraine, and with reference to the successive warnings and calls issued by the Ministry during the past few days, through statements, the media, and direct email and text messages with the Jordanian community in Ukraine, and contacts The ministry and the embassy in Ankara are in contact with them, which in recent days has called for the need to leave the eastern regions towards the western regions, and once again urged the community to leave Ukraine in light of the continued operation of flights until yesterday.

The ministry added, “The Crisis Cell in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs continues to convene around the clock, as preparations are now being made for an expanded and comprehensive meeting with all the relevant Jordanian authorities and institutions concerned with following up the situation of Jordanians present in Ukraine in order to assess developments, and to maintain communication with Jordanians there in the available ways and ways. Providing all forms of support and support available to them, implementing plans to deal with the crisis, following up on the situation of Jordanians, and options for available evacuation methods, especially land evacuation from the countries bordering the western border areas of Ukraine, for which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs had prepared through diplomatic channels, by communicating With a number of countries neighboring Ukraine to facilitate the evacuation of Jordanians by land to these countries if the need arises. Communication is currently taking place with these countries to implement plans in coordination with the relevant ministries and institutions to deal with the crisis.”

The Ministry stresses the need to take precautions and caution, adhere to the public safety measures announced by the official authorities, and take all personal safety precautions.
