92 Jordanians, including 22 students, return from Ukraine to the Kingdom

Today, Thursday, the National Center for Security and Crisis Management confirmed the return of 92 Jordanians, including 22 university students, from Ukraine to the Kingdom, from the 12th of this month until last Tuesday.

According to the Crisis Center, “Since the Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked Jordanians to return and launched a registration platform, Jordan had one flight line and we worked on developing it to 3.”

As for the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, Ambassador Haitham Abu Al-Ful, he confirmed that “since the beginning of the escalation of tension in Ukraine, the ministry has activated a crisis cell to follow up on the situation of Jordanians in Ukraine, since the end of last January, and the ministry has followed closely and intensively. Developments there, and on February 11, the ministry announced an online link and asked Jordanian citizens in Ukraine to register their data in order to update the data held by the ministry.”

He added, “Through the electronic link, it was determined that there are 1,200 Jordanian citizens in Ukraine who are present in 14 Ukrainian cities.”

It is noteworthy that the National Center for Security and Crisis Management announced that Jordanians wishing to return from Ukraine to Jordan are exempted from all travel restrictions related to the Corona virus pandemic.

There are 2,606 Jordanians in Ukraine, including 727 university students studying at 37 universities scattered across Ukraine.
