Destiny led a citizen to find a two-and-a-half-month-old girl whose parents left her in an abandoned well in the town of Mandah in the Taybeh district in Irbid governorate.

An official source told the online newspaper, Jordan News, that the citizen heard the sound of a child crying during a picnic with his family in the town of Mandah, and moved quickly to check the sound, only to find the child inside an abandoned well, about 5 meters deep.

The source added that the citizen immediately informed the security services, and the civil defense and police cadres moved and upon reaching the area, they learned that the girl had been taken out of the well, before she was transferred to Moaz bin Jabal Hospital in the Northern Jordan Valley, where the doctors reported that she was in good health.

The source indicated that cadres of the Taiba municipality also attended the site and worked to fill it, while the security services opened an investigation into the incident.
