Turmeric is one of those ingredients that I have used to solve all my skin care issues, but many people don’t know the right way to use it and end up making common mistakes, as explained by beauty expert Marwa Nassar. In her talk to “The Seventh Day”, some common mistakes that girls make when using turmeric for their skin are as follows:

Using the wrong type of turmeric:

There is a certain type of turmeric that is intended for cosmetic uses, and it differs from turmeric that is used for cooking, so it is wrong to choose any type of turmeric and use it in beauty.

Using turmeric with another ingredient:

The beauty expert said turmeric is an effective skin care mask, but if many different ingredients are mixed with turmeric, it may harm the skin by interacting with it. Turmeric contains the active ingredient curcumin, which is a very good anti-inflammatory agent, so you don’t need anything. Other than turmeric and water if you want to use it as a face mask.

Spots on the skin:

And the cosmetic expert added that turmeric may leave spots or traces of its presence, if it is placed on the face for a longer period, it will stain your face, so make sure not to leave turmeric on your skin for a long time and make sure to rinse well.

The wrong way to remove the turmeric mask:

And the beautician added that after removing turmeric from our skin, it should be rinsed well with cold water or with “lukewarm” room temperature water, and the process should be repeated in order for the mask to be completely removed.

Using lotion after the mask:

One of the most common fatal mistakes people make is washing their face with soap or cleaning it after applying a turmeric mask on the face, the beautician added. You should never do that.
