Temporary imprisonment for 10 years for suspects who robbed 4 pharmacies in Amman

The Compass – The State Security Court, on Wednesday, sentenced two defendants to ten years of temporary employment and fees.

The court issued its ruling during a public session headed by Lt. Col. Military Judge Dr. Mowaffaq Al-Masaeed and the membership of Lt. Col. Military Judge Rami Al-Azzam and Lt. Col. Military Judge Ahmed Al-Tarabsheh on those accused of the two felony of forming a gang with the intent to infringe on people and money and commit acts of banditry within the limits of Article (3/i) and in accordance with Article (7) /c) of the Prevention of Terrorism Law No. 55 of 2006 and its amendments, and the felony of theft repeated 4 times, contrary to the provisions of Article (1/401) of the Penal Code No. 16 of 1960 and its amendments.

It was proven to the court that the defendants, and their desire to obtain illegal quick wealth, formed a gang to rob pharmacies in the capital, Amman, in implementation of their criminal project; They robbed 4 pharmacies in different areas in Amman in 2018, under the threat of weapons to the workers in those pharmacies, and shared the stolen money among themselves, where they were arrested and prosecuted.
