Severe punishment for a gang specialized in robbery of pharmacies

Today, Wednesday, the State Security Court sentenced to 10 years temporary imprisonment for those involved in forming a gang to rob pharmacies in the capital, Amman, at gunpoint.
In the details, the State Security Court held a session, chaired by Lt. Col. Military Judge Dr. Mowaffaq Al-Masaeed and the membership of Lt. Col. Military Judge Rami Al-Azzam and Lt. Col. Military Judge Ahmed Al-Tarabsheh.
The court ruled against the first accused (MAA) and the second accused (U.S.) with the felony of forming a gang with the intent to infringe on people and money and commit acts of banditry within the limits of Article (3/i) and in terms of Article (7/c) of the Terrorism Prevention Law No. 55 of 2009 And its amendments and the felony of theft repeated (4) times, contrary to the provisions of Article (1/401) of the Penal Code No. 16 of 1990 and its amendments, and as a result, the court decided to place them with temporary employment for a period of ten years and fees.
This came after it was proven to the court that the first and second defendants, and their desire to obtain illegal quick wealth, formed a gang to rob pharmacies in the city of Amman, and in implementation of their criminal project, the first and second defendants robbed four pharmacies in different areas in Amman during 2018 under the weight of the threat of weapons. The employees of those pharmacies and the sharing of the stolen money among themselves, where they were arrested and prosecuted.
