A child died in Wisconsin, USA, as a result of multisystem inflammation syndrome associated with the Corona virus.

This is the first such death in America, according to the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”.

This syndrome is associated with “long Covid”, a mysterious phenomenon in which a person feels symptoms of the virus after a long period of recovery from it.

Childhood Multiple System Inflammation Syndrome is a serious condition in which body organs and tissues such as the heart, lungs, blood vessels, digestive system, brain, skin or eyes are severely damaged.

Signs and symptoms of the disease depend on the affected parts of the children’s body, according to the Mayo Clinic website.

Media reports said the child was less than 10 years old.

The officials did not disclose the name of the child, the gender of the child, and when the death occurred, only saying that it occurred last January.

Scientists believe that the child’s infection with this syndrome is the result of an immune response to the virus, as certain areas of the body become inflamed while trying to fight the virus.

Wisconsin has recorded 33 such cases since the beginning of 2022.

It is possible that the sudden rise in cases of this syndrome in the new year is linked to the huge mutation caused by the “Omicron” mutant.
