Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Health revealed a plan that includes studying the reality of primary and comprehensive health centers in all governorates of the Kingdom; With the aim of improving primary health care services provided to citizens.

This comes in light of Health Minister Dr. Firas Al-Hawari’s directive to study the reality of health centers in Jordan to prepare a comprehensive plan for their work.

The Director of the Primary Health Care Department at the Ministry, Dr. Riyadh Al-Shayyab, said that the aim of the health centers’ action plan lies in improving service provision and primary health care and activating centers in remote areas.

Speaking to Hala News, on Tuesday, Al-Sheyyab confirmed that the plan includes studying the reality of primary and comprehensive health centers in all governorates and conducting field visits to conduct a status study by looking at their locations, their distance from other centers and hospitals, the terrain and the demand for them.

He pointed out that after conducting the studies, the working period for each health center will be approved separately, pointing to two systems that will be approved by the Ministry; The first is until five in the evening, and the second is full-time, 24 hours a day, to provide medical services to citizens.

Al-Sheyyab stressed that “in the coming days, citizens will see improvement and facilitation in the provision of health care services.”
