There are several causes of heart muscle weakness, which we mention here, in terms of the most common and least:

• Hardening of the heart arteries, which leads to complete blockage or severe and multiple narrowing of the heart arteries, as well as myocardial infarction (ie, heart attack), where the blood supply to the heart muscle is reduced and part of the walls of the heart muscle is weakened, or even part of the muscle has died. This is one of the most important causes that can be treated while protecting the heart muscle as much as possible.

• Dilated cardiomyopathy, which is the weakness of the heart muscle associated with muscle expansion. And this case is of unknown origin, but it is believed that the most common cause of its occurrence is a previous inflammation of the heart muscle wall, which led to its weakness. There are also genetic factors that lead to this condition, but it must be over three successive generations in order to be certain that it is hereditary.

• Illness of the heart valves, whether from severe stenosis or severe blood smuggling through the valves.

• The presence of cardiac openings and congenital malformations in the heart that are not treated surgically at a young age.

• Untreated severe and chronic high blood pressure.

• Frequent and severe tachycardia, such as atrial fibrillation or untreated severe emitting pulse.

• High pulmonary artery pressure due to chronic lung diseases or any other reasons, and this condition leads to weakness of the right heart muscle and the appearance of symptoms on the legs and abdomen, as we mentioned in previous articles.

• Severe and chronic weakness of blood.

• Chronic and untreated hyperthyroidism.

• Heart muscle weakness after pregnancy, which is a rare condition and has its own treatments as well.
