A huge study revealed the benefits of drinking coffee, specifically the amount that must be consumed daily to get the maximum benefit.
In the past two years, the most detailed research on coffee has sought to focus on how much coffee should be drunk daily to achieve maximum health benefits.
And research conducted over an entire decade found that the optimal number of cups of coffee is 3 per day, according to the “Ink” website.
And the nutrition specialist at Harvard University, Uma Maido, pointed to a study in which researchers tracked the relationship of coffee consumption to health, which included 676 elderly men over a period of 10 years.
According to Mado, the study found that daily coffee drinkers had 50 percent less “cognitive impairment” than non-coffee drinkers.
Cognitive impairment is the stage between the expected cognitive decline of normal aging and the more severe regression of dementia. It features problems with memory, language, thinking and judging things.
The study showed that those who drank three cups a day had the lowest incidence of dementia and aging problems ever.
Harvard University also conducted a study with the participation of more than 208,000 people, both men and women, to link the risk of death to coffee consumption, over a period of more than 20 years.
It found that participants who drank coffee were less likely to die than those who did not, and the highest percentage came for those who drank between 3 and 5 cups a day.
