The Narcotics Control Department, through its continuous campaigns against the promoters and dealers of narcotic substances, dealt with 3 specific cases of drug trafficking and its promotion inside the Kingdom.

In the first case in the Mafraq Governorate, the information received about a person’s possession of large quantities of hashish and narcotic crystals was followed up, and they were sold and promoted within the Kingdom. He was raided, arrested, and inside the tent, 27 palms of hashish and a firearm were seized.

In the second case, in coordination with the Aqaba Police Directorate, and after collecting information about a person’s trafficking and promotion of narcotic substances, he was raided, and 16 palms of cannabis were seized in his possession, in addition to a group of unlicensed medical preparations and a firearm.

In the third case, after collecting the necessary information about a person selling and promoting narcotic substances in a region north of Amman, his whereabouts were taken and his arrest was made, and 19 palms of narcotic hashish and a number of Captagon pills were found in his possession.

The media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate confirmed that all the persons involved in the cases were referred to the State Security Court’s public prosecutor to take the legal action against them.
