Representative Ahmed Al-Qatawneh criticized what he called the parliament’s marginalization of members of the Islah bloc from traveling to participate in delegations and conferences held outside the country.
In his intervention under the dome of Parliament, Al-Qatawneh considered that there is a clear marginalization of members of the Islah bloc and some other deputies in this matter, stressing that these deputies can speak, participate and represent the House of Representatives in conferences.
In turn, Parliament Speaker Abdul Karim Al-Daghmi responded to Qatawneh’s intervention, saying: The decision is taken in the permanent office, and we did not hand over in the permanent office the names of the representatives of the blocs in the executive office until a few days before the budget. The issue is, but I cannot send the council once.”
Al-Daghmi added, “I started with those who did not travel at all, and from the Islah bloc, Adnan traveled, and she is not excluded, and there are delegations coming and names from all the blocs participating.”
But Al-Qatawneh replied, emphasizing, “I do not want to travel, but it is not reasonable from the last session, for a deputy to travel for 5 times,” adding my view on the issue of travel is that there should be a specialist, so the specialists go to the conferences.
“I hope that there will be travel reports and that there will be justice for colleagues in this matter,” he added.
