Professor of Engineering at the University of Science and Technology, Muhammad Al-Hayajneh, revealed what he described as “shock” about the recent elections that took place recently for the branches of the Syndicate of Engineers.
Al-Hayajneh said in statements on “Hosna” radio that he used to frequent the union elections every year and chose based on his personal conviction, and from all blocs, but what happened in the last elections was a shock, about interference in the elections, considering that this was not the case in previous years. .
Al-Hayajneh indicated that he asked a number of students he was studying about their choice in the elections, and here was the shock, as the answers came in an unexpected way, as a number of them responded by emphasizing their choice of one list and not others based on the pressures of the party in which they work.
Al-Hayajneh deplored the response of one of the engineers, who answered his question by saying, “I can only choose the block that he asked me to choose, and he asked me to copy the election paper.”
He explained that one of the engineers working in one of the ministries said that his manager asked him to copy the electoral paper, and if I did not do that, I would be reprimanded,” adding that what happened in the Engineers Syndicate elections gives a negative impression of the official trend for political and economic reform.
