Al-Wehdat announced, through its official account on Facebook, that it has attracted Argentine striker Matias Gaston Castro, 31, to join its first football team, based on the placement of Brazilian coach Joseph Vieira, who is expected to arrive in Oman next Wednesday.
Castro began his football career in his country before going through several professional experiences in Uruguay, Chile, Greece and Colombia.
Al-Wehdat had previously completed the contract with the Tunisian professional Hamza Lahmar, who arrived during the past two days and passed the medical examinations, while Vieira is still choosing between a number of professional players to complete the contract with the third professional in the center of focus, in preparation for the upcoming competitions.
In the same context, the official account of the units on Facebook also confirmed the arrival of the new American professional in the ranks of the unit’s first basketball team, Anthony Miles, at Queen Alia International Airport late last night.
