Former Minister of Industry and Trade, Yarub Qudah, said that the meeting with His Majesty King Abdullah II, today, Sunday, focused on the royal message, and that the national economy is one of the most important issues that must be worked on to develop a comprehensive program for it to be integrated among the various economic sectors.

Qudah added, in exclusive statements to “Jordan News”, that the holistic program is in the interest of all sub-programs, and the need to achieve economic growth through targeted sectors that work to provide suitable job opportunities for Jordanians, indicating that the previous programs in force were providing Job opportunities for non-Jordanians.

The judges revealed that a legislative review will be made of the laws regulating economic work and encouraging investment so that these legislations are directed to commensurate with investment in Jordan, in addition to being suitable for competition with the surrounding countries that are working to compete in attracting investments to them.

Qudah pointed out that the issue of Jordanian exports of goods and services, fostering creativity and providing technical assistance to empower Jordanian youth, was emphasized, noting that extensive workshops would be held to discuss projects that could be worked on, including transport, agriculture and water.

The meeting also dealt with finding an executive program that is cross-governmental and measurable so that it is a road map for governments to follow, with a parallel plan that addresses emerging problems quickly, stressing that workshops will start to take place within a very soon period.
