The Kingdom is affected by a state of atmospheric instability today, Saturday, as a result of the convergence of the so-called Red Sea depression in the layers of the atmosphere close to the surface of the earth, with the deepening of a very cold air mass in the upper layers of the atmosphere, according to the “Arab Weather” website.

There is a noticeable drop in temperatures during the day, and they become slightly colder than their usual rates for this time of year.

The weather is generally cold and cloudy, and the opportunity is prepared for showers of rain, God willing, from time to time in different parts of the Kingdom, accompanied by thunder and hail at times.

And some of these showers can be heavy at times, especially in the south and east of the Kingdom, including the city of Aqaba, the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, which leads to the flow of valleys and reefs and may form sudden torrents.

Snow showers are likely to fall on the tops of the southern parts of the Al-Sharah Mountains, including the southern peaks of Taybeh, Jabal Mubarak, Al-Rajif and Ras Al-Naqab, in addition to the Al-Shoubak and Al-Hisha peaks.

The winds are northwesterly, moderate in speed, energized at times.

In the Gulf of Aqaba:

Wind: Northern moderate to brisk, with strong gusts at times.

Sea state and wave height: light wave height (5-20 cm), but it is very wavy in the depth of the bay.

Sea water surface temperature: 22 degrees Celsius.

Recommendations

1) Paying attention to the danger of the flow of valleys and reefs, and the possibility of sudden torrential rains, especially in the south and east of the Kingdom, including the city of Aqaba and the Jordan Valley and Dead Sea regions.

2) The necessity of ending all kinds of trips and camping, and not being in valleys and low-lying areas.

3) Pay attention to the danger of slipping as a result of hail showers and above the peaks of the gulf as a result of snow showers.
