The Traffic Department said today, Saturday, that one person died and another was injured as a result of two traffic accidents, while the Kingdom recorded, during the past 24 hours, 246 traffic accidents.

She added that there is a traffic plan and complete readiness to deal with the state of atmospheric instability affecting the Kingdom, with the aim of preserving the health and safety of citizens and road users.

External patrols warned of insane and reckless speeds that would have exposed the perpetrators and road users to a real danger had they not been seized by the traffic police. They were driving a motorcycle at a speed of 210 km per hour, a vehicle traveling at a speed of 183 km and another traveling at a speed of 173 km per hour.

It also called on the owners of any vehicle not to allow non-driving licenses holders to drive their vehicles due to their direct legal responsibility, after 8 seizures of unlicensed drivers were dealt yesterday.
