Sources in the Ramtha club’s board of directors denied the existence of an official decision from the International Football Association (FIFA), which imposes a penalty against the Ramtha team and prevents it from registering players, against the background of financial dues to its former professional Lebanese star, Majed Othman.
The sources clarified about the reported news in the same context, that the club received a letter from the player’s lawyer about this claim through “FIFA”, to obtain these dues.
The sources pointed out that Al-Ramtha Club is keen to settle all financial matters for foreign professionals, in a way that enables it to lift the penalty for players’ registration, if financial liquidity is available.
It is noteworthy that Al-Ramtha continues its training led by its technical director, the national coach, Murad Al-Hourani, in preparation for defending the league title, which he won after an absence of nearly 40 years.
