Safadi participates in the Munich Security Conference

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, participated in the Munich Security Conference, which began on Friday.
On the sidelines of the conference, Safadi held a series of meetings with a number of heads of delegations and foreign ministers participating in the conference. The meetings dealt with bilateral relations and ways to develop them in various fields, in addition to a number of regional issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause and efforts to activate the peace process and launch effective negotiations to achieve peace on the basis of the two-state solution.
Safadi and the officials he met also discussed efforts to reach a solution to the Syrian crisis, support for Iraq and Lebanon, the issue of refugees and the fight against terrorism, and other regional and international issues of common interest.
The meetings included a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Lebanese Republic Najib Mikati, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo Albin Kurti, and the Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden Anne Linde, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland Pekka Haavisto, Minister of State for the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany Tobias Lindner, EU Commissioner for Budget and Administration Johannes Hahn and European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson, as well as the Chair of the Forum World economist Borg Brende.
Tomorrow, Safadi will participate in a symposium on the Middle East, in which the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will also participate, and it will be moderated by the Executive Director of International Affairs at the German Korber Foundation.
