The State Security Court, headed by Lt. Col. Military Judge Dr. Mowaffaq Al-Masaed, with the membership of Lt. Col. Military Judge Rami Al-Azzam and the membership of Lt. Col. Military Judge Ahmed Al-Tarabish, issued a decision to place temporary labor for 20 years and a fine of 20,000 dinars against suspects who transported drugs to Jordanian lands.
The facts of the case are summed up that the defendants agreed to bring a quantity of narcotic substances into Jordanian territory for the purposes of trafficking in them. On 7/30/2021, the first accused brought the quantity, accompanied by a number of people, to the border strip on the northern front, who were monitored by the salaries of the Jordanian armed forces and in coordination with the agencies The competent authorities applied the rules of engagement, and they were able to arrest the first suspect, and by searching the place of his arrest, 45 kilograms of hashish and 217,500 Captagon pills were seized. The court also decided to confiscate the seized narcotics.
Whereas the court, with its discretionary powers and through the facts of the case, concluded that the extent of the seriousness of the wrongdoings committed and the limits of the criminal danger, the matter with which the court found the application of the principle of raising indolence to its highest limit for the accused and in proportion to the realization of the principle of general deterrence and special deterrence, taking into account the surrounding circumstances.
