The media spokesman for the Ministry of Education, Dr. Ahmed Al-Masafah, confirmed that the beginning of the second semester of the current academic year remains on its previously announced date, which is the twentieth of the current month of February.

In his speech to the “Pulse Al Balad” program on “Roya” channel, this evening, Sunday, Al-Masafa added that this decision is subject to the decision of the Council of Ministers regarding the postponement according to the requirements of the epidemiological situation and its repercussions, stressing the commitment of the Ministry of Education to all decisions issued by the Council of Ministers.

He pointed out that 19,000 active cases of the emerging coronavirus were recorded among the various teaching, administrative and student cadres in the Ministry of Education, noting that a government school and two private schools were closed today, after the percentage of infections in them reached 10%.

And Al-Masafa indicated that 3 study divisions in government schools and 10 classes in private schools were closed, after infections with the new Corona virus were recorded.
