Tomorrow, Monday, the Kingdom will remain under the influence of the remnants of the cold mass that affected it during the past two days, as the weather is expected to remain cold and partly cloudy in the north and center of the Kingdom, according to what the MENA Weather platform reported.

The opportunity remains prepared for local rain showers in northern Jordan, which may extend at times and in a limited manner to the central regions, and the winds will be westerly light to moderate in speed.

There is a noticeable rise in temperatures on Tuesday to exceed their annual averages for this time of year, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach (15-17) degrees Celsius.

The weather will be relatively cold and sunny in general, with the appearance of small amounts of high clouds in the evening and at night, and the winds will be southeasterly with light speeds, turning at night to southwesterly light speeds.

And until Wednesday and Thursday, as the Kingdom is affected by a cold air mass of polar origin that works to form an air depression in all layers of the atmosphere over the island of Cyprus; Therefore, there is a significant and gradual decrease in temperatures to become below the general rates for this time of the year.

Rainfall opportunities begin in the afternoon and evening of Wednesday, and continue until the evening and night of Thursday/Friday, and it is inclusive of various regions; Including the south of the Kingdom, according to current updates.

There is a chance of snow showers in this depression, but details are weak at the moment.

The platform explained, “And so that there are no fallacies, the chance of snow does exist, but it does not reach a snow storm or closures, because the polar mass is not deep for Jordan and Palestine until the chance of snow becomes strong and large according to the current updates and its depth is weak according to the current maps.”

It is expected that the winds will be brisk, with strong gusts at times, causing dust and sandstorms in the south and east of the Kingdom.

On Friday and Saturday, it is also expected that the atmosphere will stabilize and a gradual rise in temperatures, but it will remain below the general rates, and the cold weather will also continue.

In the long term, it is expected that the negative system will continue in the western Mediterranean and western Europe regions, where an air mass dominates in all layers of the atmosphere in those areas, and more cold and polar winds will continue to flow towards eastern Europe, the Balkans and Turkey, but the extent to which the Levant benefits from this situation is still unknown. The platform added that the current indicators indicate that the Levant is affected by several depressions, some of which may be polar and snow-laden until the end of the current month of February, “but it is impossible to give details about them at the present time.”
