The House of Representatives will hold, on Monday, a legislative session to discuss the two draft laws on the general budget and the budgets of government units for the fiscal year 2022.
The President of the Council, Abdul Karim Al-Daghmi, decided to invite the Council to convene next Monday noon, to discuss the two draft laws of the general budget and the budgets of government units for the fiscal year 2022.
The Finance Committee approved the two bills at its meeting today, Saturday, headed by Representative Muhammad Al-Saudi.
The deputies will hold their session upon returning from visiting the royal shrines, and reading Al-Fatihah for the soul of the late King Hussein bin Talal, may his soul rest in peace, on the occasion of the twenty-third anniversary of the Day of Loyalty and Allegiance, which falls on Monday.
Al-Daghmi called on the deputies wishing to talk about the Parliamentary Finance Committee’s decision regarding the two budget bills to initiate registration with the Legislative Affairs Directorate in the parliament.
The recommendations of the Finance Committee include increasing the salaries of employees and retirees with low incomes, reducing water losses, removing investment obstacles, developing the transport, agricultural and tourism sectors, establishing major projects in partnership with the private sector, implementing an integrated system for comprehensive and fair health insurance, reviewing electricity generation agreements, In addition to supporting the military and security apparatus, and amending the building system to allow for the replacement of expatriate workers by local workers.
The recommendations also included raising the fees for licensing telecommunications companies, amending agreements, including the Kingdom’s channel budget within the budgets of government units, facilitating procedures for granting exemptions to persons with disabilities, reducing social security subscription rates for companies, and collecting about 6 billion dinars contained in the reports of the Audit Bureau, in addition to Developing the energy sector, exploring for natural resources, and increasing recruitment in the Ministry of Education.
