5 million m3 of water entered the dams in the last depression

Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation confirmed that the total quantities of water entering the main dams from the last depression within 48 hours amounted to about 5 million m3, of which, during the past 24 hours, about 3 million m3 entered, the majority of which was in the King Talal Dam (2.285 million m3).
She added that the rainfall associated with the recent depression raised the volume of cumulative rain falling from the beginning of the season on all governorates of the Kingdom until Sunday morning to (59%) from the long-term annual rate of (8.1 billion cubic meters).
According to the ministry, rain monitoring stations recorded the highest rainfall during the past 24 hours in Salt (11.6) mm, and the governorates recorded a general average precipitation within 24 hours in Amman (7) mm, Al Balqa (5.1) and Madaba (3.5) Zarqa (1.2) mm, Jerash (2.7) mm, Mafraq (0.7) mm, Irbid (2.6) mm, Ajloun (7.5) mm, Karak (1.3) mm, Tafila (0.8) mm, while no precipitation was recorded in Ma’an and Aqaba during the past hours.
