The Ministry of Public Works and Housing warned this Friday evening of some dangerous phenomena that may accompany the prevailing weather in Jordan.

The ministry warned citizens traveling on external roads of the danger of low horizontal visibility due to heavy rains, and the possibility of dust forming on roads in the Badia regions, coinciding with the prevailing weather conditions in most regions of the Kingdom.

In a press statement, it confirmed the readiness of its cadres, which are equipped with the necessary equipment, to deal with all weather conditions and to address the feedback received to it over 24 hours through its 98 teams distributed in various governorates of the Kingdom.

The ministry said that all its directorates have been circulated to raise the current emergency plan – the medium emergency plan – according to the assessment of directors of directorates and offices and work requirements.

Regarding the observations received to the central emergency room and emergency rooms in the directorates and offices, she indicated that the observations received are normal in such weather conditions, and were dealt with immediately in coordination with the relevant authorities, noting that no road was closed in the Kingdom due to the high water level.

The ministry noted that its field cadres, distributed in all regions of the Kingdom, are constantly conducting field inspection tours to ensure the sustainability of the services provided to citizens and work to resolve the observations immediately.
