Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation confirmed that the recent air depression supplied the main dams by about (2) million cubic meters during the past (24) hours.
The ministry said that the largest amount entered the King Talal Dam, about 1,250 million m3, and that the total quantities of water that entered the dams from the beginning of the rainy season until this morning amounted to 35.5 million m3, and about precipitation rates indicated that the volume of cumulative rainfall From the beginning of the season on all governorates of the Kingdom until Saturday morning, it rose to (58%) of the long-term annual average of (8.1 billion m3), and the highest amount of precipitation was in Karak, which amounted to (36.8) mm.
With regard to the amounts of rainfall recorded at the stations of the Ministry of Water and Irrigation during the past 24 hours, it indicated that the capital, Amman, recorded an average of (18.7) mm, Balqa (14.5 mm, Madaba (8.5) mm, Zarqa (4, 4) Jerash (7.4) mm, Mafraq (3.4) mm, Irbid (10.2) mm, Ajloun (8.2) mm, Karak (22.6) mm, Tafileh (12.6) mm, gloss (3) mm, obstacle (1,9) mm.
On the percentage of annual rainfall rates on the governorates, it was shown that the highest rates were in Aqaba (148.5%) of the long-term annual average, Balqa (78.9%), Amman – Marka (76.7%), Jabal Al-Hussein (72.2%). Wadi Al-Seer (68.6%), Irbid (69.5%), Ajloun (60.4%), Jerash (38.3%), Mafraq (40.4%), Madaba (53.9%), Karak (48%), Tafila (32.6%), Shobak (30.7%), Ma’an (48%).
