The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) said that the State Department has approved several potential arms sales to allies in the Middle East, including Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, according to Reuters.

The Pentagon’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency said in a statement that the approvals include a potential sale of F-16 fighter jets and related materiel to Jordan at an estimated $4.21 billion.
