Adviser to the Prime Ministry for Epidemiology, responsible for the Corona file in the Kingdom, Dr. Adel Al-Balbisi, revealed that the government contracted with Pfizer to purchase treatments for the emerging corona virus, given orally, that are sufficient to treat 8,000 people.

He added in his speech to the Voice of the Kingdom program this evening, Thursday, that this treatment will be available exclusively in the Ministry of Health, and it will be disbursed free of charge, indicating that these quantities will reach their first payments at the beginning of next March.

He added that the disbursement of this type of treatment will be given to patients with a high risk of chronic diseases according to a specific health protocol, stressing at the same time that its effectiveness reaches 89%.
