Adviser to the Prime Minister for Health Affairs and responsible for the Corona file in the Kingdom, Dr. Adel Al-Balbisi, confirmed that today, Thursday, the highest number of examinations was recorded in the history of the epidemic, by conducting more than 68 thousand examinations.

He added in his speech to the Voice of the Kingdom program this Thursday evening, that we have reached the stage of community spread, indicating that the rate of infection in the 25-35 age group is the highest at 27%, while the rate of HIV infection among children remains low.

Al-Belbisi stressed that there will be no closure procedures in light of the high infections of the Corona virus, indicating that there are one thousand and one hundred Corona patients in all hospitals.

He continued: Our hospitals can absorb this number by about 4-times, and therefore there is no need for any other measures related to the closures.

Al-Balbisi indicated that 80% of the cases of coronavirus infection in the Kingdom currently are for cases infected with the Omicron mutant, pointing out that if these cases of infection were with the Delta mutant, our hospitals would have been full of injuries, and the deaths do not reflect the epidemiological situation today, but rather the situation for previous weeks. .
