The control and inspection cadres of the Food and Drug Corporation seized a warehouse containing tens of tons of expired food and cosmetics.

Today, Thursday, the Director General of the Foundation, Dr. Nizar Mahmoud Mahidat, said that the materials seized by the monitors of the regions directorates – Central Region Branch and Medical Supplies have been tampered with, and their statement card has been tampered with and its production date and expiry date have been changed for the purposes of re-circulation in the local market.

Mahadat indicated that the Corporation has reserved the entire quantity and has begun referring those in charge of the warehouse to the competent authorities to take the necessary measures against them.

The teams of the supervisory institution in the North Region branch and the Supplies Directorate also closed, according to Mhaidat, another warehouse in Irbid governorate, for medical supplies, and seized large quantities of expired chemicals, empty medical packages and statement cards.
