The Football Association announced the drawing of the draw for the professional championships for the 2022 season, (the Union Shield – sponsored by the Pioneering Education Schools and the Jordanian Professional League), next Monday, at the Pioneering Education Schools Theater in the Khalda area.

The Jordan Football Association invited professional clubs to attend the draw activities, amid official media coverage.

The Federation Shield Championship – sponsored by the Pioneering Education Schools, will start next February 24, where the 12 professional clubs are divided into three groups, and each group includes four teams, so that the champion of each group, in addition to the best team that gets second place, qualifies to the semi-finals of the tournament .

The 70th edition of the Jordanian Professional League will start on April 8, and the current tournament will witness the holding of a draw for the home matches and the other for the return matches to add more excitement and competition throughout the 22 weeks of the championship.

The Shield draw is witnessing a prominent event, which is the absence of the champion of the last version of it, the Galilee team, after its relegation to the Premier League, where the competition in this tournament is limited to professional clubs.

It is noteworthy that Al-Jalil won the championship after defeating Al-Wehdat, 6-5 on penalty kicks, after a tie in the original time with a goal for each, while Al-Ramtha is holding the league title after topping the standings with 47 points, with a difference in the confrontations from Al-Wehdat with the same balance.
