Media spokesman at the Customs Department, Fadi Qudah, said that the customs cadres working at the Jaber customs center, in coordination and cooperation with the Anti-Narcotics Department and the security services, were able to thwart an attempt to smuggle “Captagon” narcotic pills, the quantity of which is estimated at 200,000 pills.

He added in a press statement today, Tuesday, that the seizures were hidden inside secret caches in the body of the truck coming from a neighboring Arab country, where they were suspicious and displayed on an X-ray machine, and narcotic pills were found.

A fundamental seizure report was organized with the seized items and handed over to the Narcotics Control Department for legal action.
