The Engineers Syndicate welcomed the decision to conduct an investigation into the causes of power outages for hours and days in large areas in the Kingdom during the recent depression.

The Captain of Engineers, Ahmed Samara Al-Zoubi, said that conducting the investigation is necessary and very important, in order to hold the negligent accountable and prevent a recurrence of what happened, especially since the power outage affected many citizens.

Samara added that while we support these investigations, we stress the need for them to be objective and impartial, and that our actions are not mere reactions to what happened, but rather are aimed at developing plans to fundamentally address the imbalance.

He stressed the need to maintain the infrastructure in the Kingdom, especially in the capital, Amman, and to fix its imbalances and weaknesses.

Samara stressed that we possess the appropriate engineering expertise and competencies capable of handling the situation in an ideal manner.
