Satellite images show quantities of clouds covering the eastern basin of the Mediterranean, accompanied by a cold and unstable air mass resulting from the convergence of two upper depressions, today, Monday, according to what the MENA Weather platform reported.

The platform added that the opportunity remains ready for scattered showers of rain in separate areas of Jordan, which may be in the form of snow showers at the tops of high altitudes, especially in the south of the Kingdom.

Cold to very cold weather prevails in various regions and partly cloudy in general to cloudy at times, with fog forming sometimes in the heights.

Frost will also form and freezing will occur, especially in the eastern Badia and the southern highlands, and the winds will be southwesterly, light to moderate in speed in general.

As for the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba, the weather is relatively cold to cold, with fluctuating winds to the north in the Gulf of Aqaba.

The platform indicated that the expected minimum temperatures for tonight in the capital Amman and the northern and central highlands are around 3-5 degrees Celsius, in the southern highlands 1-2 degrees Celsius, in Irbid, Jerash and the northern plains 6-7 degrees, and in the eastern plains and central and southern Badia 2-4 degrees, while in the eastern and northern Badia 0_2, while in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba it is expected to reach 9_11 degrees Celsius.

According to the platform, the weather will stabilize tomorrow, Tuesday, and the temperatures will rise slightly while remaining 1-2 degrees below the normal rate, and cold weather prevails in general, with the appearance of amounts of clouds.

The maximum temperature is expected in the areas of the capital, Amman, around 10-12 degrees Celsius, while the winds will turn southeast tomorrow evening, gradually becoming active with very cold weather at night.

Winds will continue to southeasterly, moderate to brisk, on Wednesday, increasing the sense of cold.

The platform expected an air depression to affect Jordan at the end of the week, and it is under follow-up.
