The head of the Energy and Mineral Resources Committee in the House of Representatives, Firas Al-Ajarmeh, said today, Tuesday, that the committee was attributed to compensating citizens who were proven to have been harmed as a result of the failure to address the power outage.

Al-Ajarmeh added, in statements, that the committee recommended the modernization of distribution networks and electrical transformers, and the development of a comprehensive plan and at a specific time to remove the obstacles facing the aerial and ground networks.

He stressed that it was recommended to raise the capacity of the exchanges in the electricity distribution companies to accommodate communications at peak times, in addition to modernizing the exchanges of the relevant government agencies.

The head of the Parliamentary Energy Committee stressed the need to coordinate with the committee to follow up on the work of the advisory committee charged with evaluating networks.
