The head of the Quality Control Department at the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, Engineer Zaid Al-Qadi, confirmed that the authority had received 10,000 complaints related to internet outages, indicating that these malfunctions and complaints related to the internet would be addressed within 48 hours.
On the other hand, the media spokesman for the Ministry of Agriculture, Lawrence Majali, confirmed that the ministry sent a letter to the Electricity Company last October to coordinate with the company and work on trimming trees that affect electrical wires in the streets, as part of preparations for the winter season.
Al-Majali added, during his speech to the “Pulse of the Country” program on the “Roya” channel screen, this evening, Sunday, that the ministry will start planting new varieties of trees that can resist winds and withstand snow.
He stressed that the electricity company can trim trees in the streets that may hinder its work without referring to the Ministry of Agriculture, indicating that for 20 years no violation has been recorded against the Ministry of Agriculture.
Al-Majali added that the ministry is responsible for all trees outside the cities, while the trees inside the cities fall under a joint responsibility with the Amman Municipality, municipalities and water and electricity service providers.
For his part, Muin Zureikat from the Greater Amman Municipality said that the municipality dealt with 180 complaints of trees falling in the last air depression, and there are more than a thousand field workers to deal with trees that fell during this depression.
Zureikat pointed out that the trees located inside the central islands, along the roads and parks, are the responsibility of the Amman Municipality.
