The Ministry of Local Administration declared a state of emergency; Due to the prevailing weather conditions in the Kingdom.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration Tawfiq Krishan asked all operating and emergency rooms in Jordan to declare a state of extreme emergency, and to prepare to deal with the events and emergency situations that will result from the developments of the polar depression that will affect the Kingdom from tomorrow, Wednesday, according to directives. Krishan also asked the main emergency room in the ministry, municipalities, joint services councils and municipal affairs directorates in governorates and districts, to cooperate, integrate, coordinate and work in a team spirit with administrative rulers and other operating and emergency rooms affiliated with the ministries of Public Works, Housing, Interior, Civil Defense, the Jordanian Armed Forces and the Greater Amman Municipality in their regions .

He instructed to provide all the efforts and capabilities available to those authorities to confront emergency situations and events, and to provide the Ministry of Local Administration, through the electronic winter emergency system, with reports on the weather situation and accidents that are dealt with and treated according to the mechanism approved by the system.

Krishan stressed that the emergency rooms in the ministry, municipalities and joint services councils are keen to serve citizens, calling on them not to hesitate to contact the main emergency room in the ministry and report any emergency situation via phones:
