The site of the Afra Baths in Tafileh begins to receive visitors

The site of the mineral baths of Afra in Tafila governorate began receiving local visitors and Arab and foreign tourists since the beginning of this year, after the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities put forward a tender for the management, development and operation of the site, and the Association of Sons of Dana and Al-Qadisiyah won it.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities said that it had previously worked to rehabilitate the infrastructure and superstructure of the site to employ its distinctive characteristics and put it on the Jordanian tourism map, indicating that the site contains a group of ponds for men and women and model health facilities, in addition to independent chalets for the accommodation of visitors, and large areas for picnics equipped with sessions and canopies. across the site.

The ministry indicated that it will provide the necessary technical assistance to the association operating the site for the success of its work and to be a role model for associations in all governorates, stressing that this support comes within its strategy and plan to empower local associations that employ many Jordanian youth in the governorates.

She pointed out that the winning association will manage, develop and operate the site to activate medical, natural, cultural and environmental tourism, adventure tourism and educational tourism.

The ministry explained that the association will work on diversifying the tourism product and the services provided that meet the desire of different segments of visitors in terms of accommodation, food and drink services, and the establishment of educational and training programs, in addition to linking the site with its activities at the Dana Nature Reserve site through the environmental paths spread there.
