A study reveals the “age group” most affected by Omicron

A new study revealed that one age group catches the new mutant of the Corona virus “Omicron” more than any other group.

And the newspaper “Hull Daily Mail” reported that one age group in Britain recorded the largest number of Omicron infections, noting that this group accounts for about 40 percent of the total infections with the new mutant.

And figures published by the health research group “Zoe” showed that more than 40 percent of new infections occur between the 18-35 age group.

The second group most exposed to Omicron is the 35-55 age group, with about 29 percent of new infections.

The figures recorded that the infection rate among people aged between 18 and 35 years had risen “sharply” since late November, and the infection rate among people aged between 35 and 55 had risen “sharply” since early December.

With regard to the third group, it includes the age group between 18 years and younger, followed by the group between 55 and 75 years old.
