Today, Wednesday, the Union of Jordanian Writers and Writers (Committee of Friends of the Arab Army) organized a special symposium in the Armed Forces Conference Hall / Amman Martyr’s Monument, in honor of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army for the efforts made in publishing the historical military encyclopedia – a history of heroism and sacrifices.

The symposium began with the royal peace and the reading of fragrant verses from the Noble Qur’an.

The audience watched a short film about the historical military encyclopedia and the building of the Jordanian state.

Director of Moral Guidance, Brigadier General Talal Ali Al-Ghabeen, said: “Military history is an integral part of the history of the Jordanian state, and its cornerstone. and its national achievements, in addition to transmitting shining national pages full of heroisms and sacrifices, written by the first generation with pride, nose and glory.

Brigadier General Al-Ghabeen added that we, in the Directorate of Moral Guidance, firmly and unquestionably believe in these facts, so we issued the Military Historical Encyclopedia in its new look and content to constitute a national heritage and a precious treasure for the Jordanian military history, and to tell us the details of military life, its phases, and the splendid stages of development and modernization in our armed forces. It started with the emergence and establishment of the state, which we are still living through the fragrant celebrations of its first centenary.

The head of the Jordanian Writers Union, Mr. Mahmoud Rahal, said: “In appreciation of our dear Hashemite leadership, and in appreciation of the role of the Arab Army in its missions, and in honor of the righteous martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the homeland and the nation, and for the sake of Palestine and its core Arab Jerusalem, the (Committee of Friends of the Arab Army) emanating from the The Jordanian Writers Union to organize this session on the occasion of the publication of the Historical Military Encyclopedia.

Rahal added that we are proud of issuing this great legacy to be a documentation and codification stage for our Jordanian armed forces, and to add to our library an original and creative historical and documentary work, and a source that enriches the national memory and provides a solid ground on which to base it.

During the symposium, an extensive discussion took place about the encyclopedia and the information it contains in documenting the history of the armed forces, appreciating the efforts and the great role made by the armed forces in achieving this encyclopedia.

At the end of the symposium, the Jordanian Writers Union honored the committee that established the Military Historical Encyclopedia.

It is noteworthy that the historical military encyclopedia was published in the month of November, which bears in its contents and on its pages the honorable history of the armed forces, national history through the centenary of the first state, battles of honor and heroism in which this valiant army participated in the defense of Jerusalem and Palestine, and also contained the names of its martyrs who They offered their pure souls for the nation and its regional, global and developmental role in both Arabic and English, and they were distributed to a number of official and private institutions and global libraries to be a reference for researchers, scholars and future generations.

The symposium was attended by the Director General of the National Library Department, a number of officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, and a number of Jordanian writers.
