A woman was in labor while she was inside her self-driving car “Tesla” with her husband, which prompted the husband to leave the driving seat and leave the car on the self-driving system, to try to help and reassure his wife. Because of the traffic jam that was on the couple’s way, the husband decided to leave the car on the self-driving system on his way to the hospital, but the woman put her small child in the car on her way to the hospital, according to the British Guardian newspaper.

Wife Yeran Sherry said the decision about whether to try to wait for the births until they arrived at the hospital was a painful one. However, she said, she kept glancing at the estimated time of their arrival and saw that it was barely moving. She said:“Should I push or should I hold” and gave birth to her daughter before they got to the hospital, whispering: “Oh my God, I’m out.” The nurses cut the baby’s umbilical cord over the front seat of the car.

Yeran added that as soon as she entered the hospital, the nurses kept coming to her room to see “his baby Tesla,” and Yeran Cheri said, “They were asking, were you the one who delivered the baby in the car?” The couple named their daughter Tesla, after briefly reflecting on the condition they had been through.
