Al-Badour added, in televised statements this evening, Tuesday, “If we remain on this weak daily number, then by 1/1/2022 – which is the last date for receiving two doses – only a small number will have received the vaccine and will not reach 4 million people, and this is equivalent to Only 30% of Jordan’s population.
He asked, “What will the government do when the date 1/1/2022 enters and the citizens have not received the vaccination?”
Al-Badour said, “If citizens do not receive the vaccine, we will be exposed to coming waves, indicating that the world is heading towards the third dose, and we are still marketing the first and second doses.”
He called for finding new ways to convince citizens of the vaccine, through a national media campaign in which personalities who are credible and acceptable to citizens (religious, media, sports, etc.), stressing the need not to rely on the government’s proposal only; Because the trust gap is wide between them and the citizens.
