The fire that broke out this morning, in a plastic tent in the Karama area of ​​southern Shouneh, caused a second tragedy after the death of 4 people from one family (father, mother and two of their children).

The newspaper, “Akhbar Al-Jordan”, learned from an informed source that the afflicted family had only a 10-year-old girl left, who is blind and needs a cornea operation to restore her sight.

The source appealed to the responsible and financially able authorities to adopt the girl and help her to carry out the operation as soon as possible, noting that the girl is now alone and in dire need of shelter and living necessities very urgently.

A security source told the online newspaper, Jordan News, that 4 people from one family were charred at dawn today, Monday, as a result of a fire that erupted in a tent in the Karama area in the Southern Shouneh of Al-Balqa Governorate.

The source said that the deceased all had Asian citizenship, adding that the civil defense cadres and the competent authorities moved immediately upon receiving the communication to the site, and worked to extinguish the fire and transport the deaths to the hospital.

The source indicated that the deaths occurred as a result of severe burns in different areas of the body, according to the initial examination, but the bodies were transferred to the forensic medical center to accurately detect the causes of death.

Later, the media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate, Colonel Amer Al-Sartawi, said that the firefighting and ambulance teams of the Balqa Civil Defense Directorate dealt at dawn today with a fire that broke out inside a tent in the Yarqa Triangle, which resulted in the death of four people; A father, a mother and their two children, of Asian nationality, suffered severe burns all over the body.

In turn, the firefighting teams worked to put out the fire, while the ambulance teams evacuated the deaths to the Salt Governmental Hospital, and an investigation was opened into the causes of the fire.
