The Russian doctor and health expert, Elena Malysheva, revealed the amount of “omega-3” unsaturated fatty acids that can harm health.
The Russian expert’s comments came on a television program, during which she said that “eating more than one gram of these substances per day can lead to heart problems.”
And she pointed out that “the recent study on this subject revealed that the use of omega-3 at a dose of more than a gram per day leads to atrial fibrillation.”
Malysheva stressed that it is better to eat a few foods rich in omega-3, since an overdose of omega-3 can only be obtained using special supplements.
The expert urged citizens who take nutritional supplements to pay attention to the number of polyunsaturated fatty acids present in the capsules, considering that one gram is a good and appropriate amount.
