A source in the Public Security Directorate said that the video circulating on social media and showing a person brutally beating a baby, was not recorded in Jordan.

In an interview with the online newspaper, Akhbar Al-Jordan, the source called on citizens to investigate accuracy and not be drawn into rumours, and to obtain information from its official sources.

“Jordan News” tracked the video, and found that it is for a Syrian national residing in the Turkish city of Gazi Annab, and that the video first circulated on November 30.

Jordan News refrains from publishing the video due to the severity of the scene.
