The draw for the third edition of the European Nations League, which took place today, Thursday, at the headquarters of the European Football Association in the Swiss city of Nyon, resulted in strong confrontations.

The matches of the first and second rounds will be held on June 2 and 8, while the matches of the third and fourth rounds will be played on the 8th and 14th of the same month, and the fifth and sixth rounds will be held on September 22 and 27.

The semi-final matches will take place on June 14 and 15, 2023, while the meeting for the third and fourth places and the final match will take place on the 18th of the same month, followed by the qualifying matches for the “Euro” on 21-23 and 24-26 March 2024.

The teams of England, Germany, Italy and Hungary were drawn into the third group, which was called the “group of death” in the first level, while France, the defending champion, came in the first group, along with Denmark, Croatia and Austria.

The full results of the lottery are as follows:

– level one:

Group A: Austria, Croatia, Denmark and France.

Group B: the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Portugal and Spain.

Group C: Hungary, England, Germany and Italy.

Group D: Wales, Poland, Netherlands and Belgium.

– Second Level:

Group A: Armenia, Ireland, Scotland and Ukraine.

Group B: Albania, Israel, Russia and Iceland.

Group C: Montenegro, Romania, Finland, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Group D: Slovenia, Serbia, Norway and Sweden.

– The third level:

Group A: Faroe Islands, Lithuania, Luxembourg and Turkey.

Group B: (Cyprus or Estonia), Kosovo, Greece and Northern Ireland.

Group C: (Kazakhstan or Moldova), Azerbaijan, Belarus and Slovakia.

Group D: Gibraltar, Georgia, North Macedonia and Bulgaria.

– fourth level:

Group A: Latvia, Andorra (Kazakhstan or Moldova) and Liechtenstein.

Group B: San Marino (Cyprus or Estonia) and Malta.

It is noteworthy that the last (second) edition of the tournament was crowned by the French team, while the first edition lifted the Portuguese team.
