After 4 temporary bodies..Al-Wehdat awaits an elected administrative body today

Today, Friday, the General Authority of Al-Wehdat Club will elect a new administrative body to lead the club for the next three years, after a series of temporary administrative bodies dissolved the former elected board of directors by a decision of the Administrative Court.

The meeting of the General Assembly of the Al-Wehdat Club will be held under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Interim Administrative Board, Dr. Fahd Al-Bayari, at Prince Faisal Hall in King Abdullah II Sports City in Qweismeh, to discuss a number of issues on the agenda of the session, discuss the administrative and financial reports, appoint an auditor, and approve some amendments to the system Financial and Administrative – Article (17/a) Supplement to the Financial Regulations.

And if the quorum was not completed from the first meeting, which was scheduled for the third of this month, and therefore it was postponed for a period of 14 days, according to the licensing system for clubs and youth bodies, to be held today, Friday, at the same time and place.

And competing for the club’s presidency in these elections are the former two presidents of the club, Youssef Al-Suqour – Al-Mukhtar, and Dr. Bashar Al-Hawamdeh, along with 27 members of the General Assembly, who are competing to reserve 10 seats in the Administrative Board.

He was nominated for these elections as members of a group of prominent administrative names in units that worked in multiple administrative positions in the history of the units’ previous administrations, whether they were elected or temporary administrative that are formed by the Ministry of Youth.

The names include Abdel Qader Abu Nasra, Abdel Hakim El Sinawy, Iyad Ashmlati, Sami Dahbour, Makhlid Al Kouz, Firas Abu Al Ainin, Khaled Al Absi, Bassam Shelbaya, Walid Al Saudi, Khaled Abu Quta, Muhammad Abdel Qader Doghmush, Jamal Al Absi, Hatem Abu Maelesh, Ziad Shelbaya, Majdi Doghmash, Amjad Simrin, Abdul Rahman Al-Najjar, Khader Sawan, Ali Khalifa, Muhammad Dughmush, Ali Muslim, Ghasab Khalil, Awad Al-Asmar, Zaid Abu Hamid, Omar Asha, Sami Al-Sayed and Muhammad Al-Banna.

The number of members of the General Assembly who are entitled to vote today is 5,980, as the election process will start at 12:30 pm, while the counting process will take place at 7:30 pm, according to the head of the Elections Committee, Mahmoud Bani Salama of the Ministry of Youth.

The Ministry of Youth had appointed several temporary administrative bodies to manage the affairs of Al-Wehdat Club, since July 27, 2020, and the first, the second and a large period of the third was headed by the Minister of Transport, Engineer Wajih Azayza, who resigned after the issuance of the royal decree appointing him as Minister of Transport in the government of Dr. Bishr Al-Khasawneh, to take over the engineer Yassin Abu Awwad, the task of completing the term of the third administrative body, then Dr. Fahd Al-Bayari assumed the presidency of the fourth administrative body, which was extended to him and his administrative team to take over the task in the current temporary administrative body.

It is noteworthy that the Supreme Administrative Court had ruled that the results of the elections of Al-Wehdat Club and its administrative body headed by Al-Hawamd were invalid, and the appeal submitted by the former president of Al-Wehdat Club Youssef Al-Saqour and candidate for membership in the Administrative Board, Khaled Al-Absi, regarding the invalidity of the elections, which took place on May 3, 2019.
