Fighters for Peace at a workshop on “The Social Contract and Accountability”

As part of the Lebanon at the Crossroads Initiative to Address Radicalization and Extremism, and with the support of zivic, the “Combatants for Peace” association held a “round table” discussion on the social contract and accountability at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Beirut, gathering members of the association and a group of people who came from Lebanese regions Several to share their views on the subject treated.
Dr. Amin Elias chaired the session, and the discussion centered on the importance of civil peace, especially in light of the successive crises that Lebanon is experiencing, and the need to benefit from the mistakes of the past, in addition to the need for a new social contract, accountability and acceptance of the other, in order to build a better tomorrow and a future that carries hope for future generations.
The interaction between the audience was the master of the situation, as points of view were presented from different perspectives, all of which served the desired goals.
It is worth noting that “Warriors for Peace” is implementing an initiative entitled “Lebanon at the Crossroads – Dealing with the Past and Building a Better Future” with the aim of developing a new social contract and working towards accountability. The workshops are carried out in cooperation with zivik.
